[Yakuza 0, Chapter 5] Yamanoi is cleaning out the office and I have no idea what to do.

I'm currently stuck in the story. It says "Yamanoi's cleaning out the office. I'll walk around and kill some time, then check back in." When the hell am I supposed to check back in? I've been killing time for HOURS and nothing happens (I saved the game every now and then for the past few days).
I cannot imagine waiting this long for the story to continue. Is this intentional or am I doing something wrong? I don't know if the game will ever tell me when and where to head the next. I thought about going to Yamanoi's office by myself but I don't remember where it was located so right now I'm really just walking around the street, beating up strangers, playing mini games and what not. [Yakuza 0] Chapter 5, stuck on infinite loading screen and cannot progress?

Trying to keep out most spoilers if possible so keeping it quite brief. I'm at the point in Ch. 5 where you are supposed to meet Oda at the bar called Serene. After playing the karaoke game a small cutscenes starts before a "Now Loading" screen pops up and infinitely hangs. Tried restarting the game and trying over again but can't seem to progress past this point.
Anyone been through this or know a work around?

4th set of Yakuza Marathon Highlights! Currently in chapter 12 of Kiwami 2 and what a change this game has been from 0 and 1. The new mini games are always fresh and creative! I keep hearing it will be a slog through 3, 4 & 5. Thoughts?

First time Yakuza player. Started with 0, up to chapter 5 as of now. Opinions so far.

(This will probably be the first in a series of posts about my opinions. Apologies if this feels disorganized, I have a lot to praise here. I sometimes get asked why I make these multi paragraph mini essays on topics, and it’s because I like to get my thoughts out on paper, and have it seen by total strangers who might care about it.)
Damn this game is awesome.
(Not very related to the game so you can skip to the next paragraph) First of all, if Nagoshi saying that he wants to make a Sonic game is a subtle hint that he’s been working on the 2021 game, and he is good at all sorts of game genres, then my god, I am so excited. I was a bit worried at first because he said he wanted to take the games in a new direction, and the sonic series has had problems with consistency. But if it’s good, it’s good. The majority of the sonic fandom has an undeniable interest in the universe of this series, as seen with the massive success of the Archie Comics, SA2 being a top contender for best game in the series, partly due to the story, and the millions of Fanfictions out there about the games. It’s odd how a story based series like Final Fantasy doesn’t have as many fanfictions out there, (obviously they still exist) but I think it’s because the characters in these games are written with a defined character and a lot of potential arcs and development, but they aren’t given it in the games, just in external media. Anyway, I think that the ideal game set in the sonic universe, but with gameplay similar to the yaku games would be a Chaotix spin-off.
Okay time to talk about the game itself. This game has amazing presentation, story, tone, sidequests, pacing, and gameplay. I plan on making another post about how I think this game does a better job at innovating the JRPG better than FFVIIR does.
I’ll go over the presentation first since that’s what you’ll be seeing for 100% of the game. The animation is so good. Incredibly detailed motion capture on all of the characters. The mouth movements are probably my favorite part though, not based on quality, but because of how they work in execution. The mouth animations in the Prerendered cut scenes are very good and they are also very serviceable in the in-engine cut scenes. A huge problem I had with FFVIIR is that it had these beautiful Cutscenes that were designated to use the (what I will call) “emotion engine” , but it also had these “cutscenes” that played on top of gameplay, with very jittery and shoddy mouth movements and less than stellar lighting on the models. Yakuza 0, on the other hand, while it does have these types of cutscenes, the mouth movements in the in-engine scenes just feel more authentic than they do in FFVIIR. I assume this is because of the fact that Japanese is simpler than English. This is boosted for westerners as, since there is no English dub, they have to read the subtitles and text boxes. (It’s not the same for easterners, but I’m writing this from my perspective so if you have a problem, idk) this disguises the jittery mouth movements when they appear, as well as the downgraded lighting compared to the pre rendered cutscenes. This also works as the sub stories aren’t voiced, so all audiences have to read the text boxes, which draws attention away from the mouth animations. All of the cutscenes have incredible atmosphere and lighting, complemented perfectly by the amazing cinematography. It also might have to do something with the fact that I am an actor, and I like doing, not watching most of the time. I don’t like watching movies or broadway very much, I want to make them and perform it myself. Very rarely does a game draw me into wanting to watch the cutscenes in full without skipping them. (God of War 4 is a good example because Sunny Suljic/ Atreus is a child acting prodigy and I love watching his professional adult level performance every time. God bless that kid.)
The story is great. I appreciate that you can get the full story of the game almost entirely by watching the pre rendered cutscenes, the only exception I found is that you don’t know if Kiryu actually killed the guy in the alley or not, and you don’t know that it was Kaze that set him up. But I also love how the rest of the game’s story doesn’t feel like padding, mostly because of the interactions and the wacky sub stories and fun gameplay making you ignore/ not mind any sort of padding, as personally, I don’t mind it since it is a vehicle to get me to the sub stories. Speaking of which
The sub stories are great too. So full of life and character, it builds up the world around you so much, which is hard especially when it takes place in Japan, and not some fantasy world we know nothing about. Not much else to say really, they are yakuza substories, side quests made with little concern for western standards, so we get shit like the be my baby substory from 2, or the S&M one from 0.
Pacing is a huge part of why I find it hard to replay FFVIIR. I don’t want to spoil anything, but around halfway through the game, when you first meet aerith the pacing takes a huge hit, and turns into a walking simulator for most of the time before you get to the fight for survival part with the pillar and even then, the regular gameplay takes a huge hit in pacing too. the sewers and graveyard had like 3 long bosses, and there was a huge revelation in the story, and the characters just like stand around for a while talking about Shopping and pack Chocobos, while Barret and the rest of Avalanche are trying to defend the pillar but whatever, I’ll go into further detail about that later. This game has slower paced action than FFVIIR, but that works to its advantage. It strikes a good balance between not feeling repetitive, being fun, and flowing well with the cutscenes. The characters also switch right when you are about to get tired of the other one’s story, keeping the pace going.
Thanks for making it this far. I like to talk and write a lot about small shit that makes a game good or bad, that most people don’t realize are there, and just say “game good” or “game bad.” So thanks for reading.
TL;DR: stupid nerd talks about a game he likes so far and goes into technical details that a lot of people don’t care about. Good game 10/10.

Question: Judgment for PS4 or wait for Xbox One release?

Hello guys , i am hooked on yakuza since it released on the Xbox Game pass last year! Having a Xbox one S , I am playing through them being on yakuza 4 chapter 2 at the moment .
Now I have following question: since I don’t have a pc and i will not be updating to a new gen console , should I buy the game Judgement for PS4?it is atm discounted at 19.99 in the Europe store.
I have both consoles but play the yakuzas on the Xbox one S . So the question is , will the Game released on Xbox look better? Be implemented in a newer engine ? Or should I pull the trigger and play on the ps4 , since there will be hardly any difference ?
Thanks in advance guys !
